Pavlenko & Poberezhnyuk law group and Ukrainian Mediation Center signed a memorandum on cooperation

Ukrainian Mediation Center [kmbs] and Pavlenko & Poberezhnyuk, Law Group signed a memorandum on cooperation in the sphere of creating favourable conditions for the development of mediation on the territory of Ukraine.
The parties agreed on main streams of common activity, in particular to create a legislative basis for mediation in Ukraine, to develop a culture of Alternative Dispute Resolution usage, to organize joint events on topical professional issues, to exchange the information on all aspects of mutual interest, to inform each other on the public event of mutual interest, to participate in the agreed events and joint activities, to use their capacities for the mutually agreed mass media coverage of their activities, etc.
Ukrainian Mediation Center (UMC), set up under the auspices of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School to be the driving force behind the development of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Ukraine, by providing training and making available the services of independent mediators. Among main goals of the Ukrainian Mediation Center:
A system of extra-judicial methods for dispute resolution based on voluntariness, confidentiality, impartiality and independence of mediators, and characterized by a high level of execution of the final agreements, is introduced in Ukraine;
Companies, organizations, and individuals save financial resources through the optimal use of time and financial and human resources engaged in dispute resolution;
The Ukrainian business environment is more stable due to greater preservation of business partnerships as a result of using alternative dispute resolution mechanisms
