Oleksandra Pavlenko – arbiter of the European Arbitration Chamber

On March 3rd, 2009 Oleksandra Pavlenko, attorney-at-law, partner with Pavlenko & Poberezhnyuk, Law group has obtained accreditation as arbiter of the International Commercial Arbitration Court under the European Arbitration Chamber (Brussels, Belgium).
Among the main goals of the European Arbitration Chamber - unification of lawyers, attorneys, professionals in the field of the international Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), state judges, politicians and public figures from different countries to collaborate in order to embody the principle of the supremacy of law in governmental and public life, and to develop the legal profession (particularly in the field of the Arbitration and ADR), protection of its members' interests in state run public authorities of Ukraine, EU, foreign and international organizations; unification of the arbitration practice of the international Arbitration, etc.
The International Commercial Arbitration Court, is an independent permanent arbitration court, operating under the Articles 1676-1723, The Belgian Judicial Code and the Rules. The aim of ICAC foundation is creation of the impartial and efficient arbitration proceeding of dispute resolution in the field of international commerce, trade and investment in EU, countries of Eastern Europe, CIS and Asia.
The Secretariat of the ICAC consists of two equal representative offices in the city of Brussels (Belgium) and in the city of Kyiv (Ukraine). Because of the given division, there is an essential economy of time and means for the reference to arbitration for a party from Eastern or Western Europe. For the Secretariat of the EACh it gives an opportunity to contact with members from Eastern Europe and EU efficiently.
Leading experts in the sphere of the international arbitration from Eastern and Western Europe are accredited at the ICAC (EACh). It gives an opportunity to offer the most optimal and professional candidates as arbitrators who are keenly aware of legislative, state and economic peculiarities of the countries of Eastern and Western Europe, CIS, Asia.
“It is pleasant to realise that on the territory of our State there is an independent authority, which helps to resolve commercial disputes on the international level. To apply to the International Arbitration it is not obligatory to travel to Belgium, the secretariat of the ICAC in Kyiv will essentially and promptly assist you in preparation of the case for arbitration.
