The European Business Association (EBA)
The European Business Association (EBA) was established in 1999 as a forum for discussion and resolution of problems facing the private sector in Ukraine. This initiative of business people who saw advantages and benefits in the European business community acting together was supported by the European Commission.
Being a non-profit Association of legal entities, the EBA sees its core mission as representing the interests of European and domestic investors in Ukraine, and improving the investment climate has been the EBA’s major concern since the moment it was founded.
Ukrainian Bar Association
The main purpose of the Association is to unite lawyers to promote the Rule of Law in all spheres of state, public and social life, contribute to the development of the national legislation and promote law awareness in the society, develop legal profession in Ukraine, protect lawful rights and interests of its members and facilitate non-formal communication between them.
The Institute of Certified Financial Managers
The main direction of ISFM is to prepare and unite financial managers and the directors, all experts in the sphere of financial management.
Being a professional organisation, ISFM offers step-by-step increase of professional qualification of experts.
European Arbitration Chamber
The initiative of foundation of the European Arbitration Chamber has arisen in EU. The main objective of the Chamber is unification and development of international arbitration in the relations of Eastern and Western Europe. Professionals with a long-term work experience in the field of ADR and international arbitration from Belgium, France, Ukraine have united their efforts for foundation of the European Arbitration Chamber.
ICAC under the EACh unites the leading experts in the sphere of the international arbitration from various countries of the world. A full member of the EACh has a right to become an arbitrator of the ICAC under the EACh. In the ICAC specialized boards are founded, which include leading experts in sphere of law, finance, stock market, economics, in production and technical spheres (aviation, marine, agrarian, metallurgical), what is one of the main advantages received by entrepreneurs and interested persons when they resort to the International Commercial Arbitration Court under the EACh.
The President and the General Meetings of the Chamber’s members govern the Chamber.
Ukrainian Mediation Center (UMC) was set up under the auspices of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School to be the driving force behind the development of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Ukraine, by providing training and making available the services of independent mediators.
“The EuroLawyer Club”
Private members’ club for senior governmental officials, business owners and executives, investors, leading lawyers and other senior professionals interested in promotion of economical relations between CIE, EU and other regions by improving and upholding CIS legal framework and traditions.
Club’s main activity: search and practical implementation of consulting projects proposed by the Advisory Board and approved by the Senior Board. “The EuroLawyer Club” consists of several Committees responsible for various matters. Throughout the year, each of Committees tends to consider from one to three consulting projects (Proposed Committees: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Anti-trust, Public-Private Partnership, Corporate, etc.).
The Securities and Stock Market State Commission
Part of the central executive authorities, submitted to the President of Ukraine and accountable to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In its activities the Commission follows the Constitution and regulatory acts of Ukraine.
The principal tasks of the Securities and Stock Market State Commission are:
to form and provide a unified state policy implementation concerning securities market development and functioning and their derivatives in Ukraine, to adapt the national securities market to international standards;
to coordinate the activity of state authorities concerning the securities market and their derivatives functioning in Ukraine;
to provide state regulation and supervision over securities issue and circulation and their derivatives on the territory of Ukraine, to ensure law compliance in this sector;
to protect investors’ rights by preventing and stopping violation on the securities market, to apply sanctions for legislation violation in the framework of its authorities;
to facilitate securities market development;
to summarize practice of the application of Ukrainian legislation on the issue and circulation of securities in Ukraine, development of proposals for its improvement.
"Reformative Club"
Public organization that unites Ukrainian business leaders interested in radical improvement of the investment climate, business environment, implementing the necessary economic and social reforms, the project of modernization and development of Ukraine.
The aim of the activities of the Reformative Club is development and transfer to the authorities of specific project proposals on reforms, drafting legislation, analytical notes and reports, public appeals to the leaders, on which depends decision-making in selected areas.
