Government
The main focus of corporate social responsibility chosen by Pavlenko & Poberezhnyuk Law Group is cooperation with the public sector on drafting laws. We consider it an public service obligation to render free of charge legal advice to governmental institutions, as well as to contribute to drafting legislation. The Law Group closely cooperates on a partnership basis with the Securities and Stock Market State Commission of Ukraine. The associates of the firm advise the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Banking and Finance as well as the Verkhovna Rada Subcommittee on the Securities and Equity Market.
Society
In cooperation with the Ukrainian Mediation Center the associates of the Law Group have drafted the law on mediation in Ukraine (# 8137 of 21.02.2011). While developing the draft law the associates of the firm have analyzed international best practice and balanced appropriate democratic initiatives within the scope of Ukrainian needs in the sphere of mediation. We realize the importance of mediation to alleviate excess burden on the court system of Ukraine, enhancement of judicial acts enforcement, reduction of corruption in the courts and subsequently, improvement of the investment climate in Ukraine.
Environment
Pavlenko and Poberezhnyuk Law Group is also a member of the initiative “Waste reduction program: A4 Club”. The program is focused on implementation of the green office concept, namely to promote more effective use of paper resources and provide support in collection, removal, sorting and recycling of paper waste generated by an office.
